Security Overview

We provide this overview so that you can better understand the security measures we have put in place to protect your information at Access Personal Finance.

Secure Physical Location with 24/7 Protection

Physical security includes an on-site, staffed security station 24x7x365, alarm system with security cameras on all perimeter points of ingress/egress. The server building has a bulletproof security station with biometric security in place. All server cages are locked and all visitors must be escorted at all times.

Secure Data Storage

Sensitive personally identifiable information is encrypted using, 256-bit AES encryption to our database which is the same encryption standard used by financial institutions. Our overall environment is protected by a top-layer set of firewalls in front of the entire network. This provides firewall functionality and outstanding denial of service protection. Our server environment is further protected by additional firewalls where we lock down access to the server environment and minimize connections to only users, clients and employers.

Secure Website and Data Transfers

The information you fill out on a web form is sent over an encrypted channel using 256-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer encryption). This is provided by the company DigiCert. Information that is transmitted to APF is transmitted securely either by SSL or via email using a HIPAA compliant email encryption software.

If you have a security issue that you wish to report

We take a number of measures to ensure that your information is safe and secure. While we're very confident in our technology, we recognize that no system can guarantee data security with 100% certainty. For that reason, we will continue to innovate to make sure that our security measures are state of the art, and we will investigate any and all reported security issues concerning our services or software.
